Review by hotel critic
As an avid traveler and Canadian explorer, I was drawn to Villa Matissa for its culinary offerings, and I was not disappointed. Each morning began with a delightful Italian breakfast served in a charming shared lounge, perfectly set to soak in the ambiance of the property. Silvio, the owner, welcomed us warmly and skillfully recommended local hotspots like Mare Nostrum Seafood and Somo Restaurant, both just a short stroll away. I found the terrace a lovely spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing, perhaps discussing dinner plans over a glass of wine. What stood out? The genuine effort they put into connecting guests with Rome's culinary heart. The thoughtful arrangement of our meals and Silvio's local insights added a personal touch, making my stay more enriching. I intend to return for the adventure and, of course, the food.
